The height of Bill Gate’s stack of money:

            57 billion = 57,000 million x 40 inches = 2,280,000 inches = 35.9848485 miles

How much Bill Gates is earning per hour:

            (61,000,000,000) / (206,309.41) = 295 672.408 per hr

Bill Gates Wealth Index:

Q from e-mail:

I loved watching “Pirates of Silicon Valley” and I would love to ask you a question that has nothing to do with the movie. In high school when I was using an Apple II and playing adventure, I typed ‘zyxxy’ and it told me “nothing happens”. Is there a special meaning to this? Thanks, Jack Harrity

WOZ:

I don’t remember that but I would often use zyxxy for my passwords because it’s something I can always remember.

Q from e-mail:

This movie brought back memories about the Apple II and all the amazing models it later came up with. Everytime I turn on my Apple II I would remember the memories and think of it as a tool. You and Steve Jobs must be great engineers to come out with something like the Apple computers. Thanks to you and Jobs, us computer nerds got to enjoy using and learning about computers.

WOZ:

A lot of people had told me the same thing you had told me. However, I think of the Apple II to be more of a communication than a tool. I agree with you that you must be a good engineer in order to come out with the computer. Engineering people get the easy job but it is also the less fun job.

Q from e-mail:

I would want to say thank you for paving the world way and inspiring future “pirates” because I am currently earning my degree in engineering. I loved the movie because I get to see the scenes act out to us. There has been one question I wanted to ask u, do you think Apple should have licensed MacOS to compete with windows?

WOZ:

Yes, we shouldn’t have stayed in the hardware business, because it would create a problem that will not let us see the value of the clones.

Q from e-mail:

I loved reading your comments on this movie. In the 80’s it looked like engineers were greatly devoted to make the best computers. They would sacrifice everything in order to make a good computer and the citizens won’t even think about paying the $3,500 for a computer. Now the public is releasing the lame clones that everyone has been buying. Thank goodness the Apple and the iMac has been released but people are all saying how it costs so much. Thank you for your efforts for creating such a great computer for us to use.

WOZ:

Thank you for saying that. Almost all the people I really like think like that too, and they all use Macs.
